Maryland Craft Beers & Breweries – The Brewer’s Art
Spring is officially here! As we start shaking off those winter cobwebs and planning how we’ll spend our time in the sun, make sure you check out Maryland’s Craft Breweries. Maryland may be known for crabs and football but we also have lots of great breweries. We actually have so many that we can’t cover them in one post. You may have heard about The Brewer’s Art or even tried it, but here is a little history about this awesome Maryland brewery.
The Brewer’s Art
This brewpub and restaurant opened in 1996, is the largest brewer in Baltimore, and a nationally recognized bar. Located in an enchanting two story Mt. Vernon townhouse, The Brewer’s Art has something for everyone. The upstairs dining area is more upscale. This is perfect for a nice, sophisticated dinner out. The ground level is a bar area with adjoining rooms with tables for eating. It is a more casual atmosphere. The Brewer’s Art has a wide selection of beers offered seasonally, and year round.
Our Recommended Brew
The Brewer’s Art flagship, the Resurrection, is a “delightfully full-bodied yet easy to drink abbey brown ale” (7% ABV). If you’re feeling more seasonally festive, try their Dorothea, a light spring ale brewed with wildflower honey (5.3% ABV).
