Annapolis Halloween Party Ideas

Halloween Party Ideas

It is definitely a spooky time of year, and there are many folks who cannot get enough of the pumpkins, bats, witches, spiders and goblins. If you are planning a Halloween gathering what you serve is as important as what costume to wear. Whether you like it gory or comical, Festival Wine and Spirits has everything you need (except the ghosts). Here are some fun themes for Halloween party ideas inspired by some amazing cocktails.

Pirates and Wenches Theme

Ahoy matey! Give your guests permission to have a swashbuckling time, for this theme is perfect for those who like to keep it simple or go over the top. What could be more fun than a man in heels, wearing a long curly wig wielding a hook for a hand? Whether you are brandishing your buxom bosom or flourishing a sword, we’ve included a recipe for a delicious grog. So keep your eye on the horizon, and prepare to swill and sway the night away (responsibly of course!)

  • 3 Lime Slices

Mad Men Theme

Invite your friends over for a swanky evening and host a Mad Men themed party. Creating the mood doesn’t require nonstop smoking, instead, ask guests to dress in ’60s-style clothing, and be ready with the snarky remarks. Also, look for vintage tablecloths and serving pieces to help create the look and feel of the period. We have found a swell cocktail recipe that mixes up retro ingredients with a modern twist. So avoid a bad scene, don’t be a drag, and get ready to have a gas this Halloween.

Johnnie Ginger

  • Fill a tall glass with cubed ice
  • Add 1 oz. Johnnie Walker Red Label
  • Add ¼ shot of squeezed lime
  • Add 2.5 oz. ginger ale, or fill to the top
  • Garnish with a slice of ginger

Wild Wild West Theme

The West was influenced by its Mexican neighbors and gritty cowboys. But you ain’t gotta swagger into the nearest saloon and throw back a shot of the cheapest gutwrenching liquor to get into the mood. Throw on your best ten-gallon hat, polish off those boots, and stroll on over and bend an elbow with the fellas and gals. There’s no shortage of tequila in the Wild Frontier, and we’ve included a delicious recipe that pays homage to those pioneers and outlaws of the good ole days that is simple and could even put some hair on yer chest.

The Green Boxer

  • 1 ½ ounces 1800® Silver Tequila
  • 1/2 ounce Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
  • 1/2 ounce Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 ounce Lime Juice Cordial
  • 1⁄4 ounce Green Chartreuse

  1. Pour all ingredients in a glass over ice and serve.
